Baggy pants.

Well hurray, baggy  trousers are back in fashion! Apparently they are strutting down all the catwalks this season. Good news for me because I've got quite a number of them, kept from way back when.
Today was sunny but bitterly cold. We were going to Clevedon so I dug out an old pair of warm, woolly baggies.
You'll get an idea how the wind blows in Clevedon when you look at the trees!
The trousers are from Hobbs, lined for comfort.
The woollen coat is Nicole Farhi.

It has a cosy faux fur collar.
It was good to get back into the warmth!
Clark's lace-up boots
Silk shirt
Grandmother's gold pin
Monsoon woollen tank top.

  2. Hello Miss Cellany. I am visiting from Visible Monday. Your photos are glorious. I feel as though I've been on a little armchair holiday.

Your climate sounds similar to mine here in Vancouver. The wind blows away the rain clouds to reveal that brilliant orb in the sky....but, of course, clear skies in winter mean cold, cold, cold.

You have the perfect coat to keep you warm and chic at the same time. Very attractive.

    1. Hello Sue, I wore a warm brown coat when I visited my cousin in Vancouver, some years ago. (He's since moved to Vancouver Island.) You live in a beautiful city, I loved poking about the market . Yes,I think our climates are quite similar, when it is bright is is often also raw cold, as today.

    1. I find a strong wind quite stressing, there is always the worry that we might lose a few tiles from our roof!
I have photos of my grandmother wearing this little pin on the collar of her blouse, as I do, so it is precious to me.

    1. We had an appointment in Clevedon but arrived early so that we could walk along your promenade. It was lovely, even in a gale!

    1. Does the ownership of baggy pants mark us as a certain age? I deny it!

  7. Wow, I thought it was windy up north. I immigrated to the UK last year for a few months before moving to France, and it was sooo windy (on the n-e Fylde coast near Blackpool, so not as nice nice weather-wise where you are, I suspect). Being a Canadian used to these things, I'd keep asking my hubby what the wind chill was. Of course, he had no idea what I was talking about!

I love your look here, the menswear look in your recent post and the Annie Hall/Annie Lennox-from-the-90s look in general ... but I can't pull it off. You look fab in baggy trousers, and I love the booties - and your hair! :)
