Patti's Visible Monday

I'm a bit white rabbit today... I'm late, I'm late.... Time to link up with Patti. It's cold, it's dull, I'm very much in winter mode, wearing a long woollen dress by Meza.
It's a bit of a shapeless thing on it's own but looks a whole lot better when I add the belt from
that comes in it's own little drawstring bag.
It is a satisfyingly well-made. I had looked for a decent belt for AGES and was so pleased when I found this one. There are plenty of belts in the shops but nearly all of them are let down by really tacky buckles.
The other cheer-up for me is a chunky necklace. This one came back from a holiday in Lanzarote and is made of coloured lava.
The green stone is set asymmetrically but it tends to wander to the centre!
That's life!

  1. The lava-stone necklace is marvelous - and I do love a fine belt too. Thanks so much for linking up to Visible Monday and have a great week coming.

    1. Dear Patti, I was looking through a magazine featuring black and blue clothing and desirable boots and then I took a peek at your latest posting - way out there with the style leaders, gal!!

    1. Yes, the hem is the best bit, the long sleeves look terrible unless they are rolled up. I think that the neckline could do with a really BIG necklace, perhaps I should wear it with a jumble of necklaces all together. I love the Comptoir clothes, the quality of their fabrics is excellent and they have a pared-back style that I associate with French clothing. Not that I've actually bought many of their things, but the few items that I do have I wear constantly.

  3. I love the belt. You know it's a good one when it has it's very own bag. And the necklace. So pretty but looks so many pretty things it just won't behave.

  5. That is a very pretty outfit. I am with you in finding a belt with a decent buckle. I always go back to my old ones that never go out of style.
