Layers

There has been some sunshine today, but, oh, the bitter chill, because there was also snow and gale-force winds. It was extremely unpleasant to venture out of doors. I am wearing several layers of clothing in order to be warm.
So it is a button up to the chin cardigan from French Connection underneath a mohair mix jumper from Warehouse. Both are ancient, both are cozy! The jumper is feather light and very shapeless
and my mirror needs a clean!

It was Mothering Sunday yesterday and I had a present to open.
I admired the box and ribbon before looking to see what was inside.
Lovely, a set of candles
for all occasions.
(Not for being 'arty', the 'p' hasn't shown up in the photo.)

I wonder what she's telling him?

      The pussy willows I love. The outfit is lumpy and I'm so tired of being muffled up.

    Love your delicate layers with your cozy boots to ground the whole! Little 'Uggs" get such a bad rap, when they are a woman's best friend in chilly, nasty cold weather.
    Cute. Completely cute and admirable.

    The woman speaking to James Dean is actress Ursula Andress. She was a one-time girlfriend of James Dean and became known as one of the early "Bond Girls". She was married to John Derek (before Bo) and had a long affair with actor Harry Hamblin. She must have been quite young in that picture because she was born in 1936 and James Dean died in 1955. I love how Google can find anything!
