June books

Our June book club discussed 'Invisible Ink' and although it is a small book it produced a lengthy discussion! In our group whoever has chosen the book does the introduction. Hearing about the author's life was fascinating, we could see the connection to things within his novel. A biography of his life would make another good read!

    I have not heard of either the author or the book. It obviously contains enough material for discussion.

      Now you have added more books; they sound intriguing! I love a good historical novel, but am not sure the new Ian McEwan is for me, much as I usually like his writing.

      I am having such trouble with my blog, the spacing has gone haywire and much of my text has disappeared. I wrote quite lengthy pieces about the other two books and shall try to find and add them to the post.
      I hadn't heard of Patrick Modiano prior to this book being put forward to the group. Apparently he is well known in France.
