Visible Monday - summer skirt.

Hurrah,  summer has arrived at last and I can saunter about in a t-shirt and cotton skirt. A friend who is a whizz with a needle and thread made this skirt for me. I got to choose the cotton from her stock of Kaffe Fasset fabrics.
It is a riot of all my favourite colours, pink, purple, black and turquoise, so it goes with tops and shoes that I've had for ages. The waist is elastic and there are two generous pockets. What's not to like!

The purple suede shoes were also made for me, about thirty years ago. I wear them a lot but even so they are still going strong. Sadly the shoemaker has long since shut up shop.

  1. Sorry. I am fed up with Kaffe Fasset, living in Bath as I do. Just too colourful for me.

    1. Yes, he does seem to put in a pretty regular appearance in Bath, either at the American Museum or the Victoria Art Gallery. His designs can be very much in your face- but this skirt is a winner for me as I'm usually more Miss Monochrome!

    1. The skirt is blissfully comfortable to wear. It has a deep turned hem which makes it hang nicely. Its raining steadily today and I'm wearing it with a navy silk blouse and a purple cardi - very versatile!

  3. That is the most beautiful purple skirt in the world, Miss Cellany. I do believe that fits in company with my non-minimalist coat! And I adore Kaffe Fasset prints. How anyone could not is beyond my ability to fathom.

    1. The friend who made the skirt for me is a non-minimalist like you and great with colour - and a needle!

  4. What a gorgeous fabric that is! I love those colours too - I'd wear the heck out of it. Love your beautiful white/blonde hair, but really, you had me at "purple shoes."
