Black and white

The delightfully colourful Mis Papelicos is doing black and white in share-in-style this week. I can do that! If there's one thing that I've got plenty of in my wardrobe it's black and white.
Plain, striped, spotted, cotton, wool, silk - you name it I've got it in black and white!
This spotted cotton blouse is from Phase Eight and can be worn with the matching skirt to make a shirt dress or, as here, on its own under a woollen pinafore dress. It has a ruffle front trim, all confused with a chunky but very light necklace.
But I'm crying out for a spot of colour, even if it's only the petals on a flower!
Pop over to see all the other black and whiters sharing their style.

    1. Hello. The necklace is so easy to wear because it is very light and fastens simply and easily by means of a loop through the final bead. It often gets comments when I'm wearing it out and about.

  4. I know that the blogosphere is full of colorful fashion but I Love black and white. You look very chic. That blouse just seems like the perfect thing. I'm so happy when you do a fashion post. You always look so beautiful. You're a natural. Must be all that time spent in the garden ;-)

    1. With my right hand out of action the garden is going to pot. All my tulip bulbs are still in their packaging waiting to be planted, I think I shall have to just bung them into pots.
Come on, Connie, join Mis P's share-in-style.

  6. I love it! The blouse and the dress combined is really cute (I'd love to recreate this look) and the beads are super. I have lots of black and white things but like you, I find it hard not to combine a bit of colour in ti!x

    1. I seem to be irresistibly drawn to white blouses and black dresses and I'm not going to own up to just how many such items I've got! But at at the moment I'm hankering after a bright red dress; it must be out there somewhere!
