Late to the party.

For the last couple of weeks I've been late to Patti's party at Not Dead Yet Style, arriving on Monday evening to find the venue full. So here I am coming early to join in the fun wearing a linen top by Flax and a pair of old linen pants from Boden.
Just a slight jar with my favourite colour nail varnish, 'Funtime Fuschia' and a ring that I bought in Turkey - they said the stone was 'lal.' Does that translate as glass?!
I'm crumpled but happy, because the sun is shining!

  1. Wonderful color, and I love a "crumpled" linen for summer, it's the perfect look. Thanks for sharing it with Visible Monday and have a great week.

    1. It's a very cheerful colour to wear, Pam. I'm not able to carry off a red now that my hair is grey, but magentas and bright pinks seem fine.

    1. Also, have you noticed, my skin is wrinkled to match the linen. (Took me years!)

    1. Crumpled, yes. Not so sure about the flower - unless you mean in the border!

    1. Their styling is good, but I do wish that this top had side pockets!

    1. It is a lovely fabric to wear but I do sometimes look as though I've just crawled out of bed.

  7. Nobody notices crumpled when you're wearing something so fantastic and the sun is shining. I love the colour. Nice ring - the stone looks like a coloured moonstone.

    1. Well it's a great thought, Melanie, that it might be a moonstone, but A h'aye ma douts!

  8. Linen is the perfect summer fabric. I always leave pressed and wrinkle free, but the wrinkles appear in a second. It is all good! Love the color on you.

    1. I'm just the same, Bonnie. Even after the shortest car journey I emerge all creased and crumpled.

  12. Hello Emalina, I love the photos that you take, always with such a fairy-story quality to them.
June is the best time to be in my garden, even on a sodden day like today, because everything is so fresh and blowsy and full of promise.
