Trouble is
The days of wearing a strapless, sleeveless dress are over! The fabric is thin and I'll wear my petticoat slightly dropped.
I've got a black angora top that fits quite neatly with the dress. Is it too safe?
I've got a top that has a fair bit of glitter. It is a thicker wool, perhaps the two fabrics don't fit together very well?
But it does cover up my saggy arms. I could wear it rather loose.
YOUR ADVICE IS SOUGHT!
I've got a number of different necklace options. This one is rose quartz but I could do three strand pearls.
What do you think?
Linking up with Patti's Visible Monday.
i think rose quartz - the pearls would clash with sequins and the fall of it. But i think you look lovely!
ReplyDeleteI think it all works together beautifully - and if you feel more confident with a bit of cover, then do it! It's a lovely dress/skirt. Thanks for sharing with Visible Monday.
ReplyDeleteI like the sweater open which will bring more attention to your necklace. No matter what you choose, you will look lovely.
ReplyDeleteDo you have a wrap/stole/pashmina? You can loop it over your shoulders and thereby cover the poultry parts without destroying your pretty neckline. Otherwise I'd go for either sweater open.
ReplyDeleteOh so pretty. I like the rose cardi open with the quartz beads. And if it makes you feel any better, we went to the ballet recently to see a local Prima Ballerina in her final performance (retiring at the ripe old age of 39!) and despite her flawlessly gorgeous soulful performance, she had the beginnings of some serious chicken wings. See? You're just like a ballerina! That's what I tell myself when reaching for the cover up cardigan. Have a lovely evening!
ReplyDeleteYour topper is undeniably cute, but you have such tiny little wings that you could so easily go strapless and cover-up less. You do know that we all have those little wing, thingies, yes?
ReplyDeleteYou have to be comfortable, I guess, but you are rockin'
that LBD, lady.
One vote for black angora. :-)
ReplyDeleteWhere can one buy such classic, elegant dresses? Was it tailormade?
The rose cardi might get too warm, when you party at the party.
